The SBA staff carries out the day-to-day operations of the organization. The Board of Directors set the direction and the staff makes it happen.
Gavin Cooley plays a key role in shaping the Spokane Business Association’s long-term vision and policy leadership. He previously served the City of Spokane for 17 years as Chief Financial Officer, bringing deep institutional knowledge and a steady, disciplined approach to complex financial and policy challenges. Beyond his professional work, Gavin is an adventurer at heart and a family man to his core—values that shape his leadership style and reinforce his commitment to building a strong, resilient future for Spokane and the region.
Sherri Britton is a lifelong Washingtonian who has spent most of her life in Spokane. She is married and the proud mom of two grown daughters. Deeply rooted in the community she calls home, Sherri brings both care and curiosity to her work, believing that strong businesses and strong neighborhoods grow from listening, collaboration, and a shared sense of responsibility for Spokane’s future.
